Welcome to Women and Seeds – Liz Foundation Indonesia
We are a grassroots foundation based in Flores, East Nusa Tenggara — one of Indonesia’s most biodiverse and culturally rich islands. Founded by local women, our mission is to empower women and children, preserve indigenous seeds, protect forests and water sources, and reconnect with the wisdom of nature and tradition.
Our work bridges the past and the future, the local and the global, the urgent and the hopeful.

Why Now?
In Flores, many traditional seeds are disappearing. Forests are under threat. Women and children still lack opportunities to thrive. But hope is alive — in the stories of seed guardians, in the strength of mothers and grandmothers, and in the dreams of a new generation.
